Prayer Needs

Please keep Alice Tate
Cranford in your thoughts and prayers as she faces some serious
health concerns.
Continue to pray for Judy Shell
Dennison and her husband, Mike. Mike's health continues to
deteriorate from the ALS disease he is fighting.
Joe Lee Williams, husband of
Gayanne Cartwright Williams, is recuperating following
corrective surgery at Vanderbilt.
Martha Helton is having another
knee surgery.
Please let me know of any other
prayer needs
Class of 1969
The LCHS Class of '69 finally had a reunion! Several of
the Class of 70 were there for various reasons....mostly because
we are married to one of them. Enjoy this flash back of
our "upperclassmen"! It was a wonderful event....hopefully
they will continue to get together.

Project Website!

Welcome to the website for the
Lake County High School Class of 1970!
It is an honor and a privilege to be our Class Webmaster. The Class
of 70 has remained closer than any class in the history of LCHS. We are
admired and amazed by many for this achievement.
As we enter our "post 50" phase of life, many of
us find it more difficult to keep in touch. This
forum will enable communication in a new format.
Please send any information, pictures, stories,
births, deaths, “good gossip”, etc. that you
would like to share online. We will also have a
prayer list for those prayer
warriors in our class. Please check it often. Put our site on your
"favorites" list.
I look forward to being your class “spider” Martha (Thurmon) Helton

Thanks to the financial contributors so far to this website - any donations
will be graciously accepted and used to improve and continue our site.

In the Spotlight
We are so proud of our Class President, Dr. Doug Markham! I stumbled across this bio on him and thought you'd like to see
what he's been doing for the last 40 years! The "Spotlight" will shine on random members of the
LCHS Class of 70 in the coming months.

Did You Know?
Our Gyre Falcon Mascot is pronounced JIR - with a long i. Like
Gyrate. The majestic bird soars in a circular motion or a spiral
motion, especially around a fixed central point. I don't know that I
have ever heard it pronounced correctly....
